Imagine this: the very latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor humming under the hood, a buttery-smooth Android 16-based HyperOS 3 experience, and a camera system co-engineered with none other than Leica. Sound like a recipe for success? We certainly think so! Xiaomi is clearly coming for the crown, positioning these new devices to fiercely compete with the other premium flagships destined for 2025. The Game-Changing M10 Secondary Display: More Than Just a Gimmick!
But here’s where things get truly exciting: both phones come with a brilliant secondary M10 display on the back. And no, this isn’t just for show! This innovative screen can reach an astonishing 3,500 nits brightness, making it incredibly versatile. Think about the possibilities:
- Create jaw-dropping AI portraits with ease.

What’s driving these magnificent machines? As we mentioned, both the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC is at the core. This is Qualcomm’s brand-new, cutting-edge 3nm flagship chip, engineered for unparalleled speed, efficiency, and intelligence. HyperOS 3 and the Clever “HyperIsland” Feature
On the software front, the Xiaomi 17 Pro series ships with Android 16-based HyperOS 3. But there’s a new kid on the block that’s creating quite a buzz: the “HyperIsland” feature. Clearly inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island, Xiaomi’s take promises a unique and intuitive way to interact with notifications, background activities, and live information right around your front camera cutout. How will Xiaomi’s interpretation evolve the dynamic notification experience? We can’t wait to see!

The Xiaomi 17 Pro, while more compact, still packs a robust 6,300mAh battery, which is impressive for its size.
