Hold onto your hats, tech enthusiasts! It seems OnePlus is not content with just one new N-series device; they’re already gearing up to expand their fresh lineup in India. Just weeks after the exciting launch of the OnePlus N6, the company has officially started teasing another intriguing smartphone: the OnePlus N6x. We’re talking about a device that promises to shake up the budget segment, and honestly, we couldn’t be more thrilled! While a firm launch date is still playing hard to get, OnePlus has already made this upcoming phone official, giving us a dedicated teaser page to obsess over. Are you ready for another potential game-changer?
This early official nod isn’t just a casual wave; the microsite also confirms that the OnePlus N6x will exclusively land on Amazon India when it finally goes on sale. Now, if you’re like us, your mind is probably racing with questions about hardware and price. While OnePlus is keeping the juicy details under wraps for now, early whispers from the tech grapevine suggest something truly exciting. The word on the street is that the OnePlus N6x could borrow many of the impressive features from its elder sibling, the OnePlus N6, all while sliding in at an even more attractive, lower price point. Talk about value for money!
The Buzz is Real: OnePlus N6x Confirmed for India
OnePlus has truly set the stage, putting up a dedicated microsite specifically for the N6x, a clear signal that this phone is firmly headed for the bustling Indian market. This isn’t just a one-off event; it’s a strategic move to build on the momentum created by the OnePlus N6. Much like its predecessor, this upcoming model will find its home on Amazon, alongside other distribution channels, making it easily accessible to millions of eager customers across the nation. It truly feels like OnePlus is doubling down on its commitment to deliver quality technology to a wider audience.
The company, masters of suspense, is keeping the official specifications locked away for now, building anticipation with every passing day. However, thanks to the ever-vigilant tipster Yogesh Brar, we have some tantalizing clues. He’s hinted that the OnePlus N6x will arrive with “familiar” hardware. What does “familiar” truly mean for us? It strongly implies that the OnePlus N6x might mirror a significant portion of the features we’ve already seen and loved in the OnePlus N6. Of course, since OnePlus hasn’t confirmed any of these specifications yet, we should treat these details as exciting leaks, but ones that give us a pretty good idea of what’s coming!
Peeking Under the Hood: Expected Specifications of the OnePlus N6x
Based on the leaks and whispers circulating, let’s dive into what we might find inside the upcoming OnePlus N6x. Remember, these are unconfirmed details, but they paint a compelling picture of a smartphone that aims to deliver a premium experience without the premium price tag.
Display That Pops: A Visual Treat?
Imagine this: a large, immersive canvas for all your content. The OnePlus N6x could very well feature a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display. But it’s not just about size; it’s about smoothness! This panel is rumored to support a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, meaning scrolling, gaming, and watching videos will feel incredibly fluid. The N6 also boasted an impressive peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. Will the N6x retain this same vibrant, easy-to-read panel? That’s one spec we’re eagerly waiting for official confirmation on, but if it does, prepare for a truly brilliant visual experience!
Powering the Experience: The Dimensity 6360 Apex
Underneath that potentially stunning display, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the reliable MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because this is the very same processor that drives the OnePlus N6. OnePlus proudly claims that this chip delivers an impressive AnTuTu score of over 615,800 points on the N6. What does this mean for you? It translates to snappy performance for everyday tasks, smooth multitasking, and a more than capable experience for casual gaming. This chip proves that you don’t always need the absolute top-tier silicon to have a great user experience.
Enduring Power: Battery Life That Lasts
Are you tired of constantly looking for a charging point? Reports suggest the OnePlus N6x may come equipped with the same colossal 8,000mAh battery found on the N6. That’s a serious amount of juice, promising multi-day usage for many users! And when you finally do need to top up, it’s expected to support rapid 45W wired fast charging, getting you back in action in no time. But wait, there’s more! We might even see reverse wired charging support make its way to the new model, allowing you to charge your other devices in a pinch. Now that’s what we call a power move, offering freedom from charging anxiety, like a trusty marathon runner that just keeps going!
Capturing Memories: Camera Specs
For all you photography enthusiasts, the OnePlus N6x isn’t forgetting you. The phone is expected to feature a capable 50MP rear camera, perfect for capturing those everyday moments with detail and clarity. Up front, an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls should ensure you look your best when connecting with friends and family. While OnePlus hasn’t delved into software details, we anticipate clever algorithms will enhance these sensors, helping you snap share-worthy photos effortlessly.
Built to Resist: Durability and Software
Worried about accidental splashes or dust? You might be in luck! The OnePlus N6x could also land with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. This means peace of mind for those unexpected encounters with the elements, making it a more robust companion for your daily adventures. And on the software front, while specifics are still under wraps, it’s a safe bet that the phone will run the latest version of OxygenOS, based on Android. Expect a clean, intuitive, and highly customizable user experience that OnePlus users have come to love.
The Million-Dollar Question: OnePlus N6x Price in India
Ah, the crucial question that’s on everyone’s mind: how much will this new contender set you back? OnePlus is yet to pull back the curtain on the official pricing for the OnePlus N6x. However, those early reports we mentioned earlier are particularly exciting because they strongly suggest it could be priced below the OnePlus N6. This is where the N6x truly becomes an irresistible proposition!
To give you some perspective, let’s recall the OnePlus N6. It launched in India with a starting price of Rs 22,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Currently, you can snag an N6 in attractive Fresh Mint and Midnight Green color options from Amazon and the OnePlus India online store.
If these leaks hit the mark, we could be looking at the OnePlus N6x launching for under Rs 20,000. Let that sink in for a moment! This would effectively position it as the most affordable model in OnePlus’s rapidly expanding N-series lineup. For many, this could be the perfect entry point into the OnePlus ecosystem, offering impressive features and reliability without breaking the bank. It’s a strategic move that could redefine the budget smartphone segment in India!
Our Take: Why the OnePlus N6x Matters
The impending arrival of the OnePlus N6x in India isn’t just another smartphone launch; it represents OnePlus’s clear ambition to dominate the accessible tech market. This phone could be a fantastic option for anyone seeking a device with a long-lasting battery, a smooth display, decent performance, and the trusted OxygenOS experience, all wrapped up in an affordable package.
