Right now, the market is buzzing about a significant price cut on the OnePlus Nord 4. On Flipkart, you can find the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant at just Rs 26,508—down from its original Rs 32,999. That’s a cool 19% markdown! So, if budget-friendly flagship features are what you’re after, this deal is hard to beat.

Should You Snag the Nord 4 Now or Play Wait-and-See for the Nord 5?

The Nord 4 has a lot to offer. It sports a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor that handles day-to-day tasks effortlessly, and a hefty 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging—perfect for those always on the go. Its camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a sleek 16MP front camera, making it a versatile device for photography enthusiasts.

But here’s the million-dollar question: Should you buy now or wait for the next best thing? Based on leaks, the upcoming OnePlus Nord 5 is rumored to boast impressive upgrades. Think a larger 6.83-inch 120Hz display, a faster Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, and a slightly smaller 5,200mAh battery with 80W charging. In the camera department, it’s expected to feature a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary lens, and a 50MP selfie camera—aiming to deliver even sharper shots.

The Pros and Cons of Waiting for the Nord 5

  • Advantages of waiting: You may get a longer software support lifespan, newer hardware, and possibly better prices for the older Nord 4 once the Nord 5 hits the shelves.

  • Considerations for going early: If your current phone needs an upgrade now, or if you’re not convinced the Nord 5 will be a huge leap, buying the Nord 4 at its discounted price makes sense.

It’s almost like choosing between a reliable car that’s slightly older or waiting for the latest model with all the fancy features. The decision hinges on your immediate needs versus your patience for new tech.

Final Thoughts: To Buy Now or To Wait?

In the end, if you’re someone who prioritizes getting the best bang for your buck, the OnePlus Nord 4 at its current discounted price is a smart buy. It offers flagship-level specs and reliable performance at a budget-friendly rate. On the other hand, if you’re tech-savvy and crave the latest features, waiting a few more weeks for the Nord 5 might be worth it—especially if leaks turn out to be accurate.

Think of it like waiting for the next iPhone or Samsung flagship—sometimes, holding out a little longer gets you a better, more future-proof device. But if you’re desperate for a new smartphone right now, the Nord 4 still packs a punch and won’t disappoint.
