The tech world is buzzing, and if you’re anything like us, you’ve probably got your calendar marked for July 22nd. Why? Because that’s when Samsung is widely expected to pull back the curtain on its next generation of foldable smartphones and smartwatches at their highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event. While the South Korean giant has been playing its cards close to its chest regarding pricing, a fresh wave of leaks has just given us an early peek into what European buyers might have to shell out for the shiny new Galaxy Z Fold 8, the intriguing Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the stylish Galaxy Z Flip 8. And spoiler alert: you might want to start saving now!

So, what’s the word on the street? If these leaked figures from reliable retailer sources, shared by WinFuture, hold true, prepare for a slight dent in your wallet. It looks like Samsung’s latest foldables could hit the market with price tags that are a bit steeper than last year’s models. Remember, these are unconfirmed numbers for Europe, so exact pricing will undoubtedly vary by region. But hey, it gives us a pretty solid benchmark to work with, doesn’t it?

The Price of Innovation: Unpacking the Galaxy Z Fold 8 & Z Fold 8 Ultra

Let’s dive straight into the big players, shall we? The leak suggests that the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 will kick things off at a cool €1,999 for the 256GB model. Fancy more storage? The 512GB version is tipped to cost around €2,199, while power users eyeing the colossal 1TB variant might be looking at a hefty €2,599.

But wait, there’s a new king (or rather, an Ultra-king) in town! Samsung is reportedly introducing a brand-new, even more premium tier: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. This device is set to sit comfortably above the standard Fold model, promising an even more opulent experience. Its leaked prices start at €2,199 for the 256GB storage option, escalating to €2,399 for the 512GB model, and topping out at an eye-watering €2,799 for the 1TB behemoth. If you’re wondering how that stacks up, we’re talking about increases of €100 for the base model, €180 for the 512GB, and a significant €280 for the top-end variant compared to last year’s top-tier Fold flagship. It seems Samsung is truly pushing the boundaries of what a premium foldable can be, both in features and price!

Flipping Out Over the Galaxy Z Flip 8’s Potential Price Hike

If you’re more into the compact, fashion-forward foldable experience, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 also seems to be joining the “more expensive” club. The rumor mill indicates that the 256GB model could arrive with a price tag of around €1,299, while its 512GB counterpart might set you back €1,499. Interestingly, unlike its larger Fold siblings, there’s no mention of a 1TB storage option for the Flip, keeping it perhaps a bit more grounded. Will these price adjustments be justified by exciting new features? We certainly hope so!

Beyond the Screen: Anticipated Design Upgrades for the Z Fold 8

Now, let’s talk about more than just numbers. The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is rumored to bring one of the most significant design overhauls we’ve seen in recent years. Remember how earlier Fold models sometimes felt a bit awkward to use when closed, thanks to their narrow cover screens? Well, if the whispers are true, Samsung might finally be introducing a wider outer display. This seemingly small change could be a game-changer, making the device feel much more like a regular smartphone when folded, especially for daily tasks like typing messages or scrolling through social media. It’s a move that directly addresses consistent user feedback, and frankly, we’re thrilled about the prospect!

Furthermore, reports suggest Samsung is aiming for a clearer differentiation within its foldable lineup this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is poised to retain its position as the undisputed flagship, packing every possible premium hardware feature. The standard Fold 8, however, might strategically miss out on some high-end specifications, perhaps including one of the zoom cameras, to create a more distinct price gap and appeal to a broader segment of the market. It’s a smart play, offering choice while maintaining the allure of the absolute best.

Time on Your Wrist: Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 Leaked Prices

It’s not just about phones! The same comprehensive leak also sheds light on Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches. Get ready for the Galaxy Watch 9 series. The 40mm case Bluetooth version is expected to start at €409, with the LTE model climbing to €459. If you prefer a larger display, the 44mm version could cost €439 for Bluetooth and €489 for LTE. These prices show a commitment to offering various options for different needs and budgets, as always.

And for those who demand the pinnacle of wearable technology, Samsung is also anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. This high-end smartwatch, reportedly LTE-only, could carry a premium price tag of €749. With a price like that, we’re certainly expecting some truly cutting-edge features and unparalleled performance. Is this the smartwatch that will finally make you ditch your traditional timepiece?

The Verdict (for now)

Let’s be clear: all these prices are based on leaked retailer information, and as with any rumor, they should be taken with a grain of salt. While WinFuture has a solid track record, nothing is official until Samsung itself makes the announcement. So, keep that July 22nd date circled, because that’s when we’ll get the definitive word on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, the Galaxy Watch 9 lineup, and the exciting Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Are you excited about these potential devices, despite the anticipated price increases? Which one are you most looking forward to?
